Digostics

From pre-revenue startup to an international diagnostic platform, live across NHS trusts and deployed in healthcare settings worldwide.

About Digostics

Digostics is a healthcare technology company building products that simplify and improve diagnostic testing. Their platform, GTT@Home, allows patients to complete glucose tolerance tests at home rather than in a clinic, supporting clinical use cases across gestational diabetes, cystic fibrosis and Type 2 diabetes.

When Digostics came to us, they were a pre-revenue startup with a clinical concept but no technical team and no digital infrastructure. They needed a partner who could help them define the product, build it across multiple platforms and support them through NHS deployment and international expansion.

The Challenge

Digostics needed a complete digital ecosystem to support GTT@Home. Not just an app, but a connected platform spanning patients, healthcare professionals, administrators and third-party logistics providers, each with different needs, different devices and different levels of technical confidence.

The platform had to handle sensitive clinical data, comply with healthcare regulations across multiple jurisdictions and integrate with existing NHS systems via FHIR. It needed to be simple enough for patients using it at home and robust enough for clinicians relying on it across hospital trusts. And it had to be architected for international deployment from the start, not retrofitted later.

On top of the technical complexity, Digostics was seeking investment. They needed clear documentation of the technical approach to present to investors, alongside working prototypes that demonstrated the product was real and fundable.

What we built

Patient Mobile App

A native mobile app that guides patients through diagnostic testing at home. Simple, step-by-step instructions designed for people of all ages and technical abilities. Integrates directly with testing hardware to capture results and submit them securely to the clinical team.

Healthcare Professional Portal

A web portal for clinicians to manage patients, review results and monitor progress across trusts and facilities. Supports both remote and in-person testing workflows, adapting to the way different healthcare settings operate.

Admin & Logistics Portal

A role-based system managing kit distribution from warehouse to patient. Logistics partners, administrators and clinical teams each see only what they need. Integrated with Royal Mail for home delivery and built to handle the operational complexity of a national diagnostic service.

Platform & Integrations

A secure, scalable platform built on Microsoft Azure with FHIR integration connecting to existing NHS clinical systems. Designed from the start for multi-region deployment with data sovereignty, geo-replication and localisation built into the core.

Discovery first

We ran a full discovery phase before any development started. User personas, stakeholder analysis, competitor analysis, feature identification, user journeys, wireframing, prototyping and user testing. On the technical side: solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical architecture, data architecture and a full functional specification. The output gave Digostics a clear blueprint for development and a credible technical narrative for investor conversations.

Built to evolve

GTT@Home wasn't built as a monolith. We designed a modular architecture that allowed each component to be developed, tested and deployed independently. The platform supports localisation from the core, enabling deployment across different regions and healthcare systems. That meant Digostics could launch in the NHS first, then expand into international markets without rearchitecting the platform.

Built for healthcare

Building for the NHS means meeting a higher standard. The platform handles sensitive clinical data across every component, which shaped our approach to security, architecture and reliability from the start.

The mobile app integrates with specialist testing hardware, the portals enforce role-based access across clinical and logistics teams, and the FHIR integration layer connects seamlessly with existing hospital systems. The entire platform runs on Microsoft Azure, architected for data sovereignty and compliance across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.

This isn't a marketing website or an internal tool. It's a clinical platform that healthcare professionals and patients rely on every day. We built it to that standard, and we continue to maintain and evolve it as the product grows.

The Outcome

GTT@Home is now live across multiple NHS trusts and expanding internationally, with regulatory approvals and deployments spanning the UK, Asia and the United States. The platform supports clinical use cases across gestational diabetes, cystic fibrosis and Type 2 diabetes, with full DTAC compliance.

What started as a concept from a pre-revenue startup is now an international diagnostic platform, featured by the BBC, trusted by healthcare providers across multiple countries, and continuing to grow. We're still working with Digostics, evolving the platform as new clinical use cases, new regions and new partners come on board.
