About Datapharm
Datapharm produces the Electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC), one of the UK's most important pharmaceutical reference resources. They work with pharmaceutical companies to manage and distribute Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPCs) and Patient Information Leaflets.
We've worked with Datapharm across multiple projects over several years, building Azure infrastructure, SPAs and their flagship product iComply, a cross-platform app used by pharmaceutical sales representatives.

The Challenge
Pharmaceutical sales reps need access to the latest SmPCs for the products they represent. The information is regulated, version-controlled and needs to be current at all times. iComply gives reps a way to store, organise and view the latest versions of their SmPCs on any device, supporting their sales activities in the field.
Beyond iComply, Datapharm needed consultancy support to design the next generation of their backoffice system, helping pharmaceutical companies manage SmPCs with a focus on growth into European markets.
iComply App
A cross-platform app and SPA allowing pharmaceutical sales representatives to store, organise and access the latest SmPCs. Available on iOS, Android and web, with automatic updates ensuring reps always have the current version of regulated documentation.
Product Development
Development of multiple products on Azure infrastructure including HL7/FHIR implementation and ingestion pipelines.
Backoffice Design and Discovery
Consultancy and discovery work designing the next generation backoffice system for pharmaceutical companies to manage their SmPCs. Focused on simplifying the authoring and approval workflow and supporting expansion into European markets.
The Outcome
iComply is live and in use by pharmaceutical sales teams across the UK. The app gives reps reliable, regulated access to the documentation they need in the field. The backoffice discovery work is shaping how pharmaceutical companies will manage their product information as Datapharm expands into Europe.
The relationship continues with ongoing development and support across multiple workstreams.
