About LBMA

The London Bullion Market Association is the independent authority for the global precious metals market. It sets the standards that govern how gold, silver, platinum and palladium are traded internationally. Its members include the world's largest banks, refiners and trading houses.

LBMA needed to replace a legacy portal built on an outdated CRM platform. The new portal had to serve their global membership with a modern, secure experience while integrating with Microsoft Dynamics as the central source of member data.

The Challenge

LBMA's previous portal was built on a legacy CRM that no longer met the needs of the organisation or its members. The replacement needed to deliver a modern member experience while connecting to Microsoft Dynamics, which manages all client information including accounts, contacts and opportunities.

The portal supports international banks through the process of becoming regulated to trade precious metals on global markets. That means handling applications, managing member data, providing access to news, events, video recordings, committees and team management tools. All of it needs to work reliably for members across 30+ countries, with the security and professionalism that this sector demands.

What we built

Membership Portal

A modern Umbraco-based portal giving members access to applications, news, events, video recordings, committees and team management. Clean, professional and built for an audience of senior professionals in global financial institutions.

Dynamics Connector

A custom integration layer connecting Umbraco to Microsoft Dynamics. Umbraco handles content and authentication. Dynamics stores member information, accounts, contacts and opportunities. The connector keeps both systems in sync without manual data management.

Marketing Integration

Click Dimensions integration for targeted member communications, connecting the portal's membership data with marketing automation to support events, publications and member engagement.

The Outcome

LBMA now has a modern membership portal that serves their global community of banks, refiners and market participants. Members can manage their accounts, access resources, track applications and engage with the organisation through a platform that matches the standing of the institution it represents.

The Dynamics integration means member data flows between systems without duplication or manual intervention, and the Click Dimensions connection gives LBMA's team the tools to communicate with their membership effectively.
